French Open

The French Open, Roland Garros

The French Open (also called the Roland Garros) is the most prestigious event of the clay court season and is held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. The tournament is held over two weeks between late May and early June. The tennis is always fiercely competitive and the french crowds create a great atmosphere.

Winning a tenth title at Roland Garros, Rafael Nadal achieved the greatest feat by one player the game of tennis has ever witnessed.  Describing his win as the perfect end to a perfect fortnight after he made history at Roland Garros, the Spaniard did not drop a set in his victory against Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland.
